One Month Old

Happy one month baby girl! Time has sure flown by.
In the last four weeks you’ve gone from a sleepy little newborn to a fiesty and alert little person. You have your daddy wrapped around your little finger and he couldn’t be happier. You really should be nicer to him though, I think he’s a little tired of waking up at 6am to calm you down during one of your little ‘cuddle me’ fits.
As for me, I’m starting to get used to you depriving me of sleep and screaming down the house for food. As hard as it can be some times I wouldn’t have things any other way, its such a joy to wake up to you every day no matter how abruptly.
Your best friend seems to be your pacifier at the moment. I really didn’t want to use one but you didn’t want to go to sleep without it. It goes everywhere you do and I must say you look rather cute when you play with the handle.
As for your enemy, it appears to be your car seat. You must understand that your car seat is for your own safety. We don’t put you in it so we can watch you cry and we certainly don’t like keeping you in there any longer than we have to. Hopefully you’ll like your one in India a little better although the one Grandma got you looks awfully snuggly to be in.
A few people believe they have spied you smiling, I wonder if that could be true? They even swear that you have little dimples but you haven’t shown me those yet.
I wonder what you’ll be up to next month? You have so much to see and learn and your daddy and I can’t wait to see every little thing although secretly I’d not mind if you stayed this little forever.
We love you so much Ria, thank you for all the smiles, laughs & tears you have given. Thank you for showing us a new kind of love and making us a family.
